3 Litre Saloon

The Austin was 1st registered in 1970,supplied new in Cheltenham with long term ownership through to 2006,a hand written journel is recorded in the original handbook.Finished in Royal Blue with contrasting Pale Blue Interior, the car is in lovely original condition.Included in the sale is a original Popular Classics magazine from December 1990,where the Austin formes part of a five page article comparing the outgoing Austin Westminster to the Austin 3 litre. There are several pictures of the car and a picture of the long term owner,a retired Lady School Teacher, the article creates a wonderful provinance. The Austin Factory were keen to make this their flagship product, the use of Burr Walnut to the Dash board, and Door cappings to match,it still looks very impressive. The Austin offers something very indivdual,a very good driving car for " Shows " a little further away from home, the silky smooth 6 cylinder engine coupled to the automatic gearbox and power assisted steering make things very comfortable indeed. The vast boot will allow you to take along table, chairs and probably the kitchen sink if you wish. The Austin has been cared for very well through the years, correct servicing being the key.
