MG Magnette MK IV Duotone.

The MG was built on the 10th of June 1965 and despatched to Cleaveland Garages Ltd, Saint Helier, Jersey. Cleaveland Garage was the only approved MG Dealer on the Island of Jersey. The MG is finished in Rose Taupe over Old English White with what has to be the finest original interior you are ever likely to encounter, the contrasting colour of Terracotta suits superbly. The original wood veneers are outstanding, both Dash board and Door Cappings, even the original Radio facia plate is present. The Jaeger instruments also remain in perfect condition, the sporting heritage of the MG displayed with the use of a 100 mph Speedometer, Ammeter, Water temperature gauge, Oil pressure gauge and a matching Fuel leval gauge. The MG has all matching factory numbers including the keys ( Two sets ) this is confirmed by the British Motor Industry Certificate. The MG was imported by the original owner on the 15th of February 1968, this is confirmed by the H.M.Customs and Excise memorandum of agreement. The MG also has its original Buff Jersey registration document, the previous owner went to the trouble of seeking a D.V.L.A previous owners search, all the copy log books and V5,s are included in the history file. This confirms the original owner passed the car to his Son whom kept the MG through untill 2007. There are invoices and previous M.O.T,s dating back to 1972. Extensive maintenance over the latter years indicate an engine re-build including an unleaded fuel conversion, full carburretor rebuild, New correct SU Fuel pump, these works being performed by specialists, A.R.Griffiths Classic Automobiles of Derby and the MG Barn Ltd of Southampton. The MG has now covered a genuine documented milage of 56294 miles. The MG is a sheer delight both to look at and drive, a car which is extreamly rare and i doubt has a original un-restored rival. The MG is presented in its original Factory specification with the exception of a Radial Tyre upgrade and the fitment of correct Lucas Fog / Spot Lights and an unusual period fluted exhaust tail pipe which may well have been fitted from new. The MG arrives today, 1st of December 2012.
