Riley 4 / 72 Sports Saloon.
The Riley was built on the 29th of May 1968 and despatched to Dickinson & Adams of Luton. The car was sold by them to a Lady whom was to keep the car for a remarkable 39 years. The car was bequeathed to a family member, the letter of provenance is included in the sale. Since 2007 the Riley has been fastidiously maintained, with many items being upgraded and renewed. Finished in Sandy Beige over Fawn Brown with Mushroom Leather. The Riley is fitted with a lovely period 5 Push Button Radio ( the original Walnut blanking plate is still with the car ) the car is also fitted with a pair of very rare Marshal Fantastic Driving and Fog Lights which are a lovely extra. The traditional Riley sporting quality with luxury is very apparent when you sit behind the steering wheel, beautiful Chrome bezel Jaeger instruments abound, with the exception of the Lucas Ammeter and Smiths Time Clock. The speedometer is calibrated to 110 mph, whilst the Rev counter graduates from amber to red, looks really nice. The Riley is appointed with reclining front seats and a centre arm rest for the comfort of the rear seat passengers. On the road the Riley is very taught and drives without fault, road holding is very good, helped by the fitting of radial tyres. The Riley comes with its showroom broacher, Riley hand book, original tools and spare keys.
