Morris 1000 Traveller, 1098cc.
The Morris was supplied New by Caffyn,s Garage Ltd of Horsham in Sussex on the 1st of July 1971, the Caffyn,s key fob is still present along with the spare keys. The Morris is a late build car, finished in Trafalgar Blue with Limeflower Interior. During the first 14 years of ownership the morris covered just 16,000 miles and was regularly maintained by the owners chauffer, this forming part of his dutys within the business. In 1985 the original owner passed away and the Morris was left to his Widow whom then sold the car to her Daughter, Mrs Gould. During Mrs Goulds careful ownership the Morris was always garaged and continued to be professionally maintained, a trip to the Morris Minor Centre in Bristol in August 1988 for extensive body repairs and a major service cost £2629.24 to bring the car back to the standard she wanted. In August 1995 the Morris returned to the Morris Minor Centre for further maintenance and repairs, the invoice totalled £2061.13. Keen to maintain the high stand of preservation the Morris returned once more to the Morris Minor Centre in August of 1996 to have the road wheels stone enamelled and a major service and oil spray the underside, invoice cost £814.22. Since Mrs Gould sold the car back in 2002 it has continued to be professionally maintained by careful classic car enthusiasts, we supplied the car to the last three owners, during this time the car has covered a gentle 1500. miles. The Morris presents extremely well and drives without fault. The Woodwork is excellent , however in places the varnish has worn thin, personally i would refresh all the wood work with a quality varnish, a task which you may wish to perform yourself, or you may choose to return the car to the excellent service provided by the Charles Ware Morris Minor Centre, visit them at www.charleswaresmorrisminorcentre.co.uk . This is a rare opportunity to purchase a genuine Morris Minor Traveller with such a exceptional provenance.
