The Riley was originally registered on the 1st of June 1948 in Chester, this is confirmed with the original Buff Log Book. The Riley has been well travelled over the years moving from Plymouth to Cambridge, Leighton Buzzard, Kings Lyn and finally to Devon. Finished in Brooklands Green, Black Vinyl Roof and beautiful Pale Green Leather with Cream Bedford Cord Panels. A letter from a previous owner confirms the Riley was fully restored in 1988, testimony to how well this restoration was completed is the fabulous example you see here today. Subsequent works over the years include an engine re-build, cylinder head overhaul, brake overhaul, Radiator re-core and annual professional servicing. The Riley looks just right, perfectly aged with just the odd touch up to the paint work. The Chrome is in excellent order. Inside the Cabin is an absolute treat, the Instruments Bold in the lovely Wood Facia, in fact the Riley is quality all the way, Perfect Door Cards, Rich Dark Green Wilton Carpets, even the Rear Window Blind is Present. The Boot area has been also professionally carpeted. Under the bonnet is just in need of a clean, this will be done prior to hand over. On the road the Riley is smooth and very quite, typical Riley. The Riley RM Club was formed in 1969, the intention to keep these wonderful cars on the road being enjoyed by their owners. There are some Club magazines, Workshop manual and a history file included in the sale. The Riley has been affectionately referred to as " Eve " ) over the years, the Original " Eve " Radiator Mascot is also present.
