Ford Prefect Six Light 4 Door Saloon.
Finished in Fern Green, this was the cars original colour, confirmed by the original Buff log book. The history file states that the Prefect was sold by a village Policeman from Slayley, Northumberland in the 70,s for the sum of £120-00, at this time the recorded milage was just under 11000 miles. Previous M.O.T,s dating back to 1974 when the car had covered 10981 miles followed by further M.O.T,s confirm that the current recorded mileage of 19009 miles is correct from new. The paint work is very nice with an even shine, there are small area,s of age related micro blisters, superb chrome work and badges with just a little pitting to the door handles. The interior has been retrimmed at considerable expense to a very good standard to include new carpets and presents very well indeed. The Prefect drives without fault, the engine starts easily, sounds as sweet as you like and has just been fitted with a new period correct battery. The Prefect has just returned from the workshop having had a major service and a fresh M.O.t. A chance to own a very nice 50s motor car of nice quality.
