Austin A40 Farina MK 11.
Superb, very early MK 11 with the rare 8 Bar Grill. 1st registered on the 21st of August 1962 and purchased by Lady Dorothy Brown, the car retains its original valuable registration mark ( 9350ML ) The Austin changed hands in 1980 when the car had covered just 5000 miles. Purchased by Mr Edwards whom did not drive, the car was placed in storage until it was sold in 1993. At this point the car was made ready to return to the road and spent the next 17 years attending Classic Car Shows collecting a host of awards, the Austin was sold in 2010 when it had covered 26000 miles in total from New. Since then the car has seen very gentle use and has now covered 31562 miles. Still presented in " Show " order. The Austin is finished in Snowberry White with a Cumulus Grey Roof and Cardinal Red Leather, the perfect colour combination. The Austin will receive great attention be it at a Classic Car Show or just out for a little trip to the country side. The Austin was the subject of a full page feature in " Classic Car Buyer " a copy of which will be included in the sale. Being a MK 11 the car has the later 948 cc engine which has been modified to run on un-leaded fuel and later braking system, a real treat. Without doubt the very best original example on offer.
