Sunbeam Tabot Ten Sports Saloon.
This is a Wonderful example of the Sunbeam Talbot Ten, described in 1948 as, " Undoubtedly the most elegant small saloon of the period ". Finished in Jet Black with a superb contrasting interior, lashings of chrome, features include Opening front windscreen and a Factory fitted sliding Steel sun-roof. Records indicate this example has spent a lot of its time unused in storage, during some of this time the car was substantially restored. Records also confirm that the Sunbeam had a recorded milage of 33,434 miles when an M.O.T was issued on the 23rd of February 1988. The Sunbeam has been used gently through the next period of its life and the recorded milage now stands at 39427. The Sunbeam was previously supplied by Thornfalcon Classics back in 2009, there are some lovely photographs of the car sitting in their showroom. Ten years on the Sunbeam still looks magnificent. We supplied the Sunbeam in 2018, the car forming part of a Quality collection of Classic Cars. Over the last year or so the Sunbeam has been up-graded for daily use or touring, up-grades include, an Aldon Automotive Ignitor ignition system, Weber Carburettor, Telescopic Shock Absorbers, Water temperature gauge, Radio, Conversion to negative earth, LED lights with flashing indicators and electric screen washers. Further works included a fully rebuilt Steering Box, Engine and Gearbox mountings replaced. Invoices on file for these works total in excess of £3500-00 and are included in the sale. The Sunbeam now drives superbly with the up-grades in place. The Sunbeam Talbot Alpine Register boasts 681 members world wide and produces a informative magazine called " Stardust ".
